Terms & Conditions of Membership

The Walton Hall Hotel Spa & Leisure Club

Operated by Granite Leisure Limited


1. Terms of Membership

The Walton Hall Hotel Spa & Leisure Club is operated as a proprietary club by Granite Leisure Limited. The club is administered by Granite Leisure or a nominated representative. Granite Leisure shall determine the club’s facilities and may amend or replace them at its sole discretion.

These Terms & Conditions are designed to promote the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all members. By using the facilities, members and guests agree to comply with these rules.

We welcome all feedback to help improve the club experience.


2. Access

  1. Members must scan in using their QR code via the ClubRight App upon each visit.

  2. Hotel guests must purchase a pass at the leisure club reception before accessing the facilities.

  3. Entry will be refused to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  4. Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn throughout the club. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the pool areas.

  5. Swimwear must be worn in the swimming pool, sauna, and steam room.

  6. Swimwear and gym clothing (with the exception of tracksuits) may not be worn in public hotel areas.

  7. No animals are permitted in the club, except registered guide dogs.

  8. Club opening hours may vary and are subject to change. Please refer to posted notices or contact reception.

  9. The club reserves the right to close any facility without prior notice for maintenance, safety, or operational reasons. Where possible, advance notice will be provided.

  10. Members may bring a maximum of two guests per visit, unless approved by the Club Manager.

  11. Only adult members (18+) are permitted to sign in guests.

  12. The club reserves the right to refuse admission to any guest or terminate membership at its discretion. Refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis.


3. Health & Safety

  1. Members must shower before entering the swimming pool, sauna, or steam room.

  2. Personal Health Statement must be read and signed before using the gym.

  3. Reading, shaving, or drying items is not permitted in the sauna or steam room.

  4. Running, diving, jumping, or any unsafe behaviour is prohibited in or near the pool.

  5. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must remain with them at all times.

  6. No food or drink is allowed in the changing rooms or pool areas.

  7. Glass items, including glass-faced masks or crockery, are not allowed outside the reception/lounge.

  8. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in the club.

  9. Members must read and follow all posted signage, including pool rules, before using facilities.

  10. Gym inductions are available upon request, subject to staff availability. Members are encouraged to ask for assistance when using equipment.


4. Children

  1. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times while on the premises.

  2. Children under 16 are not permitted to use the gym.

  3. Children under 18 are not permitted to use the solarium.

  4. Children under 16 are not permitted to use the sauna or steam room.

  5. There must be at least one supervising adult per two children under 16 in the pool area.

  6. Children aged 8 and over are not permitted to use the opposite-sex changing rooms.

  7. Children under 5 may enter free of charge when visiting as guests.


5. Administration

  1. The club may refuse any membership application without explanation.

  2. Membership fees and tariffs are set by the club and may be adjusted. Notice will be given in advance of any changes.

  3. Membership may be terminated without notice if a serious breach of the rules occurs.

  4. No refunds will be issued upon cancellation or termination unless agreed by management.

  5. Membership cancellations must be submitted in writing with 1 month’s notice via email to the Club Manager. Any payment due during that notice period remains payable. Access will continue until the end of the paid period. If any cancellation request is not submitted in accordance with this policy, the cancellation may not be processed until the procedure is followed as required. Any payment made due to a failure to follow the cancellation policy may not be refunded.

  6. Membership cards and QR codes are non-transferable and must not be used by anyone other than the registered member.

  7. Personal belongings must be removed after each visit. Items left behind will be disposed of immediately.

  8. The club reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. Any changes will be displayed in-club or communicated via email or app notification.


6. Code of Conduct

  1. Members and guests are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and other users. Abuse, harassment, or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.

  2. Radios, music devices, or mobile phones must be used with headphones. Loud or disruptive behaviour is not permitted.

  3. Ball games, inflatable toys, and similar items are not allowed in the pool unless part of an organised session.

  4. Any conduct that causes damage to the facility or equipment may result in membership suspension or termination.


7. Digital & Data Policy

  1. Members must use the ClubRight App responsibly for scanning in, managing bookings, and accessing updates.

  2. All member data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR regulations. A copy of our privacy policy is available on request.


8. Force Majeure

Granite Leisure Limited shall not be liable for any interruption in service caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disaster, pandemic, or government restrictions.


9. Membership Payments

  1. Memberships are available on either a monthly rolling basis (payable by Direct Debit) or as annual memberships(payable in full in advance).

  2. Monthly memberships continue until cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

  3. Annual memberships are fixed for a 12-month term and are non-refundable.
